Can You Measure Your Happiness?

The Happiest Nation, according to the survey, was Finland with a 7.89 rating on the scale of 0-10 Scale, Iceland, Denmark, Switzerland, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Norway, New Zealand, Austria, Israel, Australia, Ireland, United States, Canada. These all were scaled between 8.1 to 7.01.

The least happy countries were Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Haiti, Tanzania, and Yemen.

The final category is "Countries with the Largest Disparity Between Happy and Unhappy Citizens." Egypt topped the list, while India, Nigeria, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey were at the bottom.

The above special report was prepared by Statista in 2020 for the social demographics, there are a couple of intriguing points worth considering:

We are often not happy when we have a lot of money. We simply don't get any happier after a certain level of income. Politicians may talk about work-life balance instead of telling people to work harder.

What exactly is happiness?

Is it possible to define the term and standardize it for all of humanity?

Prince Siddhartha flees his castle in search of happiness in the woods. His quest for happiness eventually leads him to meditation and a peaceful lifestyle. Prophet Muhammad, on the other hand, found delight in helping society as a Statesman and a Man of God. The separation of Caesar's earthly empire from God's heavenly kingdom brings Jesus joy. In this universe, Krishna is attempting to establish such a kingdom. What exactly is happiness?

A monk is content to live on alms. A clergyman earns a living through working; he may even own a business or several enterprises. The Newsweek report hesitantly recognizes that "wealth alone isn't always what makes people happy" - the facts on the ground show that "Wealth Has No Relationship With Happiness." Giving up riches brings satisfaction to Buddhist, Hindu, and Christian monks, as well as Muslim Sufi Fakirs. They may be few in number, but when you consider their impact on society, you will be shocked!

Various people have different standards, paradigms, conditions, and ways of thinking. They also define "happiness" differently depending on their perspectives. As a result, happiness cannot be measured.

In 2007, Newsweek invited visitors to their website were urged to vote on whether happiness should be ranked or not. You might also check the "I don't know" box. Happiness, according to the majority, cannot be measured!

Happiness, after all, cannot be measured.

That explains why "we simply don't get much happier after a certain income cap." BBC News Home Editor Mark Easton shares some fascinating information in his May 2, 2007, On-Line Report:

"Despite being three times wealthier, Britain is less joyful than it was in the 1950s. The percentage of people who claim they are "very happy" has dropped from 52% in 1957 to just 36% today. The Western world's story is one of affluence failing to translate into additional happiness.

"Despite massive improvements in income, happiness levels in practically every affluent country have stayed relatively steady over the last 50 years."

According to the happiness study, once average annual wages hit around £10,000, more money does not make a country happy.

A Guru compares matter, notably money, to a pair of shoes: "You can't wear them if they're too big or too small. They should be a good fit and the proper size ". Just enough is the right amount.

Returning to the three most important aspects of happiness, relationship, contentment, and inner peace, each of the three reflect a layer of our consciousness.

The Emotional Layer is linked to the Relationship. Reasonable thinking leads to contentment. It's the emergence of our Faculty of Discrimination, which is a component of the Layer of Intelligence. I distinguish Intelligence from Intellectuality in this section. Perhaps an intellectual is a man of literature, a scholar with a long number of degrees after his name. However, he may have no idea what intelligence is. Intelligence is a spiritual issue. It is more than just a body of knowledge. It's the Know-How that's always been there. It is an infant's inborn, intrinsic knowledge that allows it to locate the nipple.

You can't be happy just because you know something. It is the realization that knowledge isn't everything, and that it can't make you happy - that makes one happy. This is, without a doubt, Intelligence. Facts are what knowledge and intelligence are good at. They require proof. Intelligence or knowing works with the truth - The Truth. There is no requirement for proof. It is proof in and of itself. In animals, it's instincts, and in humans, it's intuition.

Inner peace is the third crucial step in achieving happiness. It's also an "all-soul affair." This is the Spiritual Layer's peripheral. One more step and you'll find yourself in the domain of Pure Spirituality, where Happiness becomes Bliss. It is The Aananda in the tongue of our forefathers. This Aananda is what we're all aiming for, consciously or unconsciously, wittingly or inadvertently.

Indeed, it is the Pure Bliss or Aananda that we seek in our relationship with the world, as well as our sense of contentment and inner calm. Only when we achieve that greatest condition of Total and Perfect Well Being - when even defects are so flawlessly imperfect that you can't tell them apart from The Perfection - can our search come to an end.

This state of Supreme Bliss, also known as Aananda, is difficult to define in words. It is possible to achieve it in the spirit. And it is only through such realizations that we can be truly joyful!

Yes, happiness cannot be measured.

Happiness isn't even the Last Frontier; there's still Aananda or the State of Supreme Bliss. But, if we have never experienced bliss, how can we possibly acquire that state?

My country, my country, wake up!

Wake up, my brothers and sisters, my countrymen and women; wake up to claim your rightful place in today's culture. You've had some extremely good moments in the past, but you're in for a lot better life in the future. Wake up to that future, which begins right now, right now. Fill this day with joy so that your tomorrows can be as well!
